The Slot

The ideal downswing channel for the club to drop into on the way down, on plane and coming from slightly inside the target line.

"Dropping the club into the slot" is a common feel for starting the downswing with the lower body while the arms and club fall into a shallower, more inside path, the opposite of coming over the top.
